For me, it was inconceivable that England could win this before going into the game. We have never won an opening game of the Euros, and I predicted a 0-0 here.
Going into added time, it was inconceivable that we'd lose it. A great performance from England, creating chances left, right and up the centre. Great free kick from Eric Dier to give the three lions the lead. Should have been in the bag, before that freak looping header denied England the win.
Russia offered little, which is a worry as I'm tipping them to win the group. England, to a man, played well, though I've never been sold on Lallana. He doesn't seem particularly good at anything in the game, and should have scored tonight.
