Euro 2016: Ukraine 0-2 Northern Ireland

Rain stopped play for Ukraine and Northern Ireland, as balls of hail fell like pills on the pitch during this evening kick off that I watched bits of, having imbibed several pints on London Pride during the previous game (England v Wales).

And what a result for Northern Ireland. Forget the disappointment of their opener, this was a famous first win in this tournament for the men in green, and well deserved from what I could make of it. A second defeat all but condemns their opponents to an early exit, but mathematically they can still qualify.

All hail coach O'Neil and his team for turning things around, and although it's Germany for them next, a point there could see them through, against all odds.
