Well, well, well done Wales. Group winners, who stormed to the top of the table with the destruction of the
hapless Russians, a team someone tipped to win the group. How wrong can you
get? They were awful and need big changes if they are to do themselves justice
on home soil in the next World Cup. Wales were all over them from what I saw,
and could and should have had more.
England? They dominated, but Slovakia were
stout and a draw isn’t really a surprise. You have to say Slovakia deserve to
be one of the qualifiers via third place. England face a Monday night game,
probably against Portugal, hopefully not involving penalties. Puuuurrrrleeeease!
