Who Will Qualify From Euro2016 Group E?

E is for E-by-gum. There’s always a Group of Death in a tournament, and while some might suggest it’s D, for me it’s E. 

Although with some third place teams going through, the death tag seems less terminal, as I think there are three teams you’d expect to make it through and one that’ll go home early. 

Let’s deal with them first. Belgium. 

No, ok, Ireland. It’s the Republic of Ireland who will be leaving the republic of France early and, I believe, pointless. No shame there. But Sweden, Italy and Belgium are a trio of European powerhouse soccer nations, as our American cousins might call them. All will expect to beat ROI. 

I think Belgium will ultimately win the group. It’s a team full of big names, though the loss of Kompany might hurt them. Zlatan’s Sweden will finish second with the Italians third, but with all three doing enough to get their hats in the ring for the knockouts.
